ApneaCam is provided by Consusis Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use ApneaCam.
1. Information We Process
When you use ApneaCam, we may process:
- Facial images (frontal, profile, open mouth)
- User-provided inputs (e.g., snoring, daytime sleepiness, high blood pressure)
- Optional demographic information (e.g., race/ethnicity)
- Technical information (e.g., device type, session-related data)
We do not request or require directly identifying information such as name or address to use the screening tool.
2. How Information Is Used
Information is processed to:
- Generate sleep apnea screening estimates
- Support system performance, validation, and improvement
- Maintain functionality and reliability of the application
Processing is performed using automated systems, including artificial intelligence models.
3. Research and Development
Data may be used in de-identified form for research, validation, and development purposes to improve sleep apnea screening technologies, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Access to Information
Access to information is limited to authorized personnel, contractors, and collaborators who require access to support platform operation, research, validation activities, security, or product development and who are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Data is processed using secure cloud infrastructure
- Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are applied
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure
6. Third-Party Processing
Consusis may use trusted third-party service providers and cloud infrastructure providers to support storage, processing, analytics, and operation of the platform. Such providers process information solely on behalf of Consusis and in accordance with applicable contractual and security requirements.
7. Data Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to support system operation, research, validation, regulatory, product improvement, and compliance with applicable legal obligations. De-identified information may be retained for longer periods for scientific, analytical, and algorithm development purposes.
8. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your submitted data, subject to technical feasibility and applicable legal requirements.
If you are a Virginia resident, you may have rights under applicable law, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data and to opt out of certain data processing activities, subject to legal limitations.
