ApneaCam is a rapid, image-based screening tool designed to support early identification of patients at risk for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Our models extract craniofacial and airway structural features and combine them with established screening metrics to identify patterns associated with apnea risk and treatment pathways.

How it fits into your workflow
- Image capture takes <60 seconds
- Uses a standard smartphone (no additional equipment)
- Can be performed during intake or initial consultation
- Does not interfere with clinical care

Data handling
- No direct patient identifiers are stored by ApneaCam
- Clinical partners retain patient identity
- Data is used in de-identified form for validation and improvement

What data are collected
- Three facial images (frontal, profile, open mouth)
- Self-reported inputs (e.g., snoring, daytime sleepiness, blood pressure history)
- Optional demographic inputs (e.g., race/ethnicity)

- Image-derived craniofacial and airway-related features
- Image-derived attributes relevant to risk stratification
- Established screening variables (e.g., STOP-Bang, NoSAS components)

- Explainable phenotype-enhanced risk estimate
